Case study: Strategy Planning

Geoff worked with a Division of an international not-for-profit organisation, helping it articulate its goals, strategic themes and capability gaps. By using appropriate structure and language, Geoff was able to help the management committee to refocus the Division on its external stakeholders and to sharpen and clarify its work plans.

Case study: Implementation

A large financial services organisation had a history of generating strategic plans without ever implementing them. Geoff facilitated a session with the Board and Senior Management Team to obtain agreement about their strategic focus. He then worked with the COO to put structure around and assign priorities to the multitude of projects that were established. By including only projects with a direct link to the agreed strategic goals, identifying the capabilities required, specifying the metrics of success and allocating responsibilities, the implementation plan is now understood throughout the organisation and on track.
